So this photo has so many pieces of my life.
The cotton, which is our livelihood and our lifeblood.
The town's water tower, with a groovy 70's doped-up version of our school's mascot fading away at the top.
The windmills are johnny-come-lately to the area, but stand sentinel in the surrounding farmland.
I can see the Little League concession stand and fences lining the fields where we spent many, many spring nights.
To the left, not seen are the railroad tracks which slice this town into four pieces.
There is the steeple of the church, not ours, but our town's Catholic church, were we have attended numerous funeral and quincenera masses.
There are the brick buildings of our elementary school. If it panned to the right, you would see the junior high, then the back of the high school, and its baseball field.
Our family, our faith, our foundation.
