At the end of February/Beginning of March, my niece, Jillian, was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare childhood bone cancer. She is finishing up her last round of pre-surgery chemo right now. She is scheduled to have a very bizarre (really - it is the word I use - hope no one finds it offensive) and totally remarkable surgery in July. She will be having rotationplasty July 7th. Check out the video that explains it.
Please keep Jill and her family in your prayers. Once the surgery is over, she will have a whole other set of chemo treatments. Jill has a bright sparkly personality and a deep faith. If you want to keep up with her, she started a blog: Jillian's Leap.
So... we don't really need to discuss the long break. Sometimes there are words, and sometimes there just aren't any. Let's just say it was a long time gone, and maybe I have words again.
