July is here, and we are halfway through the year, which means we are halfway through the Project 52.
This week's theme is "backlight." This image is from an early evening in the cotton fields. You've heard of buttery light? The light this evening was that - smooth and golden. I was more interested in trying to capture the light than the cotton. I wish I could bottle up light like that!
As I critique the photograph, it seems the cotton may be illuminated more from the side than the back, but I love the way that yummy light envelops the cotton in the right foreground.
Backlight can be tricky for a photographer to master, but it is oh-so-sweet when it is. I bet the work posted this week is spectacular. Start out with our newest member, Deb from Delight In Little Things and continue through the entire blog circle.
Wow Kelly.. i really love this. I agree that I really like how the light envelops the cotton and how it created lovely bokeh!

Love cotton! I wish I had some close enough to take pictures in! Might have to make a trip to my inlaws they have a field across the street!
