* We have declared a jihad against the mice that seem to think they can take up residence here in the big house now that the pig barn is clean out and clear of spare pig feed strewn about, free for their taking. We are not talking about normal field mice. These mice are ninja mice. They have skills expert ninjas would love to have.
They are able to withstand an assault on their little ninja senses of the gloriousness of peanut butter - that formerly successful bait that has taken down many a regular mice. Ninja mice crave bread and cheetos, and traverse tricky traps and snares set in their ways to reach their little nectar of the mice gods. They have no fear of the human types - they just stare at us and attempt to use ninja mind control powers.
We've escalated: poison, disguised in the form of a Fanta orange drink. I'd rather deal with the smell of their little mice bodies rotting in every corner of my house than seeing little tiny mice droppings any day. The smell will disappear, eventually, at least.
* The rest of the weekend? Starts with the Baby J's baseball game tonight. Then we will participate in Relay for Life. We can't stay all night - Payne plays baseball in the morning.
* Other people are raising money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis this weekend.
* If you have had enough rain wherever you are, send some our way, please.
Have a great weekend!
Hi Kelly!
Thanks for the shout out and link for Great Strides! The day was beautiful and we had a terrific turnout. Hope you have a great time at Relay for Life and good luck with the Ninjas!
