I am sitting in the car, waiting for Jackson to finish piano lessons. Then we have to run back to church to pick up Payne. Lots of running around. Too much running around.
The State Fair was a fun experience. Payne has another show under his belt, and walked away with success: 5th place. He made the sale, as did Jill with her 2nd place lamb.
The morning of the sale found Payne way out of his comfort zone. Payne and Jill went into the buyer's breakfast and met people, which hard for Payne to do. Luckily for him, Jill is a pro at it, and he just followed along. The gentleman who bought his pig had worked with Jon last year, interviewing ag interns at A&M. Small world. You just never know when a personal connection will come in handy.
We already have little pigs for our county show in January. Hopefully we can get back into a calmer groove. Is that even possible?
I'll put up some pictures later from last week.
