Still going strong with the year-long Project 52 with so many other creative photographers. I am always surprised and amazed with the variety of images we produce, each given the same theme.
This week's theme is SOOC. Need a clue? Straight out of camera.
No processing, no tweaking, no Photoshop, no Lightroom, no work once the little shutter spins through space and the moment is captured.
I took this image last week, while enjoying the first rainy day South Texas has had in many moons. It's just a different perspective of the same front yard that has been showcased in prior weeks. :) For some reason, I was drawn to the focus of this image. I can't say that is what I saw when taking the picture, but it is what I see now. I love the thick green grass, the spots of yellow, the rumbling sky, and the frame of the trees.
On a completely unrelated note, I just adore my yellow daylillies. When my grandmother passed away several years ago, I made sure to dig up a couple of clumps from her house and bring them home. I love having the constant reminder of a home that I loved spending time in, and grandparents that were just the best.
Be sure to visit Denver family photographer Lisa Turner. She has posted fresh, colorful images. Will she do the same this week?

Kelly I love your flowers too. Such a lovely splash of yellow...I have some peonies (that have not even hardly sprouted from the ground yet!) in front of my deck that I absolutely love! My mom helped me plant them, and I think of her every time they bloom.

Kelly this is one of my fav pics of yours. The soft curve of the walkway leads your eye around the photograph and provides a great light contrast to the dark monsoon background. Lovely image!

WOW love stormy gray skies! It's been raining here too. Your lilies add the perfect punch of color.

Great shot! I'm not a fan of storms so dark skies always freak me out a little!
