This week's topic for our Project 52 group is "Close-Up."
This image is from our 2010 county stock show. Payne's pig won Grand Champion. The Grand Champion steer goes first, and is sale #1. Payne and his pig had lot #2. We were in the animal barn, waiting to be called to the auction ring. What else does the photographer-mom do but pass the time taking pictures! Many technical issues with this one, but it captures a momentous time in Payne's life perfectly.
Here is a fun close-up out-take from this past summer, when the boys obliged me in the cotton. We actually ended up using one from this day as our Christmas card. But this out-take? At least it was just the cotton being thrown at me. It quickly digressed until they both were pelting me with closed bolls of cotton - ouch!
