My world is still a little maroon today.
Let's move on the the movie reviews.
Wednesday Jon and I went to see Casino Royale. I am an admitted James Bond fan, except for the Timothy Dalton phase; he just didn't do it for me. Hello Daniel Craig. So what if he has blonde hair and blue eyes; so does Payne. The man completely works for me as 007. A little rough around the edges Bond. The story was not some far-fetched ride a pig through the pipeline kind of tale. A little terrorism, a little poisoning (kind of eerie, given the death of the former KGB agent this week), a little torture, a little third-world country, beautiful European locations, plus the usual plays with the women. I liked it so much I would honestly go see it again. I thought the opening credits were fabulous - retro in feel. Jon missed the girls.
Tonight, the boys and I saw Happy Feet while their father chose Borat. Loved, loved, loved the dancing and singing penguins. Danced in my seat, grooving to the music. I could have done with out the save the penguin, save the world stuff towards the end. Jon enjoyed Borat - his kind of humor. I guess I will catch it on DVD.
