was busy, as it is for everyone. Parties, fun days, the usual baseball games and TKD practice, awards assemblies, graduation parties, graduation, etc. So let's just remember the week in pictures (and the last picture is the first day of the school year for comparison):
We (and we being in the typical Whatley Fashion, 13 of us) went to San Antonio today to see The Lion King. Wow! The costumes were just amazing. I cannot believe the creativity that came up with the entire production. I think I was just as wowed as the boys.
Jon and I have always been a little partial to Simba and company. We went to DisneyWorld for our honeymoon. When we toured the animation studios, the illustrators (or are they imagineers? or or those the people that just think up the rides? anyway...) were working on The Lion King.
You can find us at the baseball field....or the pool....every single night. So that might be a small exaggeration...but we are in those two places. A lot. Who thought swim team practice during baseball season was a good idea?
Highlights: Payne was able to compete in the Coastal Bend Science Fair for the third year....and placed for the third year....quite surprisingly. We weren't really expecting much with his project, "Wind: Invisible Friend or Foe." Here's the geek himself....
