Payne's baseball season ended last night. Tears on the way home - he did not get a hit in the game, but was walked each time up to bat, stole home (had been thrown out trying to steal home earlier in the game), and was a fielding machine at 2nd.
Awards assembly on Tuesday - see photo below of the geek my child has become...wait, I think he always has been one. I think Christy would say his mother has always been one, too.
Other child had perfect attendance - see his photo below, too.
Last day of school today....is that a good thing?
Took eldest to see Revenge of the Sith Sunday...very satisfying end.
Did you watch Alias last night? Oh my! Who is Michael Vaughn?
Now that I have made this list, no time for all the pictures...later today.
Big Mike and MH came for a visit this week. They were able to time the trip to catch a certain t-ball Astros team play Monday night, and another certain Astros minor team play Wednesday night. I hope their pictures came out, because I somehow did not take a one while they were here.
Tonight both of the previously mentioned Astros teams play and then we will head into town to catch the end of the Hooks game and enjoy the Friday night fireworks.
It is that all-important day to break out the tacos, stuff the enchiladas, chop the pico de gallo, and mash the avacados: Cinco de Mayo. And this year prompts us to bring out the salt and lime and Dos Equis.
We shall be celebrating at the little league field. We are thinking of having our mail sent there. Really. That is where you can find us. Every. Night.
And here is the first daylilly of the year, a transplant from my grandmother's in East Texas. It looks a little worse for wear - the wind really beat it up. Daddy dug up a bunch of them for me after she died, and they have done fairly well here.
